Dianne Scott (excell), Moderator: Jimworld.com
When I started out as a newbie Webmaster in 1999, I (like many others) was on a mission to learn all I could to make the websites I developed the very best they could be in every aspect. I bumped into Jimworld often and made use of the tools and resources available there.
It wasn't until I followed a link Jim had placed on the JimWorld homepage, the famous "TOP 10 WAYS TO IRRITATE YOUR VISITORS" thread, that I stumbled across the Search Engine Forums (SEF) & Get High Forums (GHF). Being thankful to find a bunch of like-minded folks (I had never been in a "forum" before) I stayed around and soon became familiar with the big guy (big in spirit) Jim Wilson.
Never condescending, always approachable, uplifting and forward thinking, Jim wasn't one to keep quiet on matters close to his heart. Whether one agreed with his views or not it has to be said that the man was at all times admirable in his courage and strength of conviction. He was also a man of action, and I believe the Internet is a better place because of him.
I know that Jim held a deep love for the people that make up the Jimworld community and other webmasters and marketers from all around the globe. His spirit will live on through the works that he has created and the people that he has given to and strengthened as they endeavour to strive for success, not just on the web but in everyday business life.
Thank you Jim, you are remembered.
To Cathy, Nick and Family - thank you for sharing him with us all, may the heavens watch over you all.
Luke 6:38: Give and it shall be given unto you...2 Corinthians 9:6 ...he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Organ Donorship: When my drivers license ran out recently and came up for renewal my pen halted over the tick box for "organ donor". I had never thought about doing this before, but because of Jim's prediciment it was in my awareness. There are moral & ethical questions that arise in ones mind but in thinking them through I found no reason not to tick this box and encourage others to consider this action as well. Please see our links on Organ Donorship for more information.
